Easter Sunday

I still have pictures from our trip stuck on our old computer but I did have Easter in my camera. Here's the kids on Easter morning. Our church is at 9:30 so it was a race to find Easter baskets and get all the kids fed and dressed for church (Katie's hair is still wet.)
Jason 8, Katie 6, Jacob 3 and Kami 10 months.

Out of Order

Just want to apologize for not updating my blog recently. I've been having issues with my computer for awhile and it finally stopped working altogether. Just took it in to get checked out and it's in pretty bad shape. We'll probably be getting a new one.
I have more pictures from our trip to California to post and some from Easter. Once I have a computer that works again I'll get them on here. In the mean time, please be patient and keep checking back. I'll have new posts eventually.

Our trip to California

We just spent 8 days in California and had a great time enjoying the sunshine, the beach and Disneyland. We flew in on Tuesday night and the next day headed off to Disneyland. Kami stayed with Grandma and Cheryl.
On the plane Katie enjoyed coloring.
Jason took my picture.
This is a bad shot of Kami she spent most of the flight with Daddy and was a very good girl.
Jacob was good on the plane and even used the potty. Which can be loud and a little scary for a 3 year old.
Jason read one book from start to finish. He's also old enough to be a little concerned about flying. He was uneasy during takeoff and landing (which was a little rough.) As we were flying over some mountains he asked what would happen if we crashed and then how would we be found. I think my answers made him feel better. You have to get the classic picture at the entrance. Justin is behind the camera so he's not in the shot.Riding the tram from the parking lot. It was almost as fun as a Disneyland ride for Jacob. He thought it was a train.Jason and Katie were excited to be getting so close to Disneyland.Climbing the ropes on Pirate's Liar formerly Tom Sawyer's IslandJacob being goofy.Katie the monkey.Jacob didn't like crossing the bridges, especially the barrel one.Getting tickled by Daddy for not smiling.Katie had her face painted in preparation for seeing the princesses.Katie got to see her three favorite princesses.

Jasmine is her absolute favorite.

Where's Ariel's shells? She just doesn't look the same in a dress.

Jacob looooves Mickey. It was worth the line we had to wait in.

One of the last things we did was It's a Small World again, this time the kids had the seat to themselves.

Mommy and Daddy sat behind them.

The tram ride back to the car isn't as exciting.

Jacob fell asleep in the stroller long before this picture was taken. More pictures to come...

Happy 3rd Birthday Jacob

Jacob's birthday was last Wednesday and we had a party at home on Thursday. I just haven't had time to post the pictures. We had a bouncy house in the backyard, played games and ate cupcakes. He had a great time celebrating with his friends.
Here's his new bike
Giant oversized bowling pins!
He's trying to blow out the candle but he keeps blowing the air up.
He had some candles that spelled Jacob but we couldn't get them to light.

This picture's for Grandma who wanted a picture of Jason minus his swallowed tooth. He's lost a total of 5 now (previously he lost his top two and bottom two). The one he recently lost was on the bottom. It's kind of hard to tell.
Unfortunately Justin didn't have a very exciting birthday. While he took Katie to her gymnastics class, I took Jason to baseball practice and slipped out and bought a cake. The kids made some homemade cards. Sorry honey, next year I'll do better when you turn 35!

Jason loses a tooth

Jason lost another tooth, in more ways than one. Monday night he was practicing cartwheels and handstands in the living room with Katie and Jacob (Katie had just had her gymnastics class). He bumped his mouth on something or someone, I can't remember which. And his already loose tooth was a whole lot looser (is that even a word?). We tried to get him to pull it out but it was hurting too much. I told him not to worry and that it would probably come out the next day.
The next morning he got ready for school, had breakfast and just before heading out, suddenly realized his tooth wasn't there.
We can only assume he swallowed it either at breakfast or in his sleep. (I vote for the latter, he grinds his teeth at night.) So, last night he left a note for the tooth fairy about what happened and why he didn't have a tooth for her. She still visited him even without a tooth to exchange.
Thanks tooth fairy, for being so understanding.

Monday Morning

This is what greeted us Monday morning so I snapped a few pictures in my backyard. We were all a little surprised to get so much snow in March. Most of it melted by midday but it has been in the 30's ever since. I still have snow in some shady places in my yard. We are taking a trip to California at the end of the month and it can't come soon enough. We are ready for some warmth and sunshine! (I intended to post these pictures on Monday but haven't been able to get my computer to access the internet until today.)
