Who me?

I was trying to get some close-up pictures of Kami. As most of you know a digital camera can sometimes take pictures too slowly to capture the nanosecond smile of a baby. If I hold my camera button down halfway it sets the camera up so that once I push the button the rest of the way it snaps a picture quickly. The only problem is a little orange light comes on (I think it's to prevent red-eye) and Kami becomes like a deer caught in the headlights. She stares at the orange light and won't smile or look at anything else. Her expression was so funny I had to post this picture.

Take your daughter to work day

Everyday is take your kids to work day for Justin since he works from home. He had Kami on his lap one day while working and I snapped a few shots. I like the way she has her arm wrapped around his.

Katie's Haircut

I took Katie to get her haircut. This is the most drastic haircut she's ever had and she loves it. She was tired of Mommy trying to brush out the tangles. She needed a picture of herself to take to kindergarten so Daddy was taking some pictures of her on the swing. I liked the look on her face in this one.
This picture is Katie and Kami before church. It's the only one with Kami smiling.

Puyallup Fair

I have been wanting to add a new post for awhile but I either didn't have time or my internet wasn't working. Anyway, we took the kids to the fair about 2 weeks ago. They had a blast and enjoyed lots of rides. Here's a few pictures of the day.

My Kindergartener

Monday was Katie's first official day of Kindergarten. She goes to afternoon kindergarten so she doesn't ride with Jason in the morning, but they get to ride together coming home. Me and Daddy, and Jacob and Kami walked Katie to the bus stop.
My big girl!
Walking to the bus I'm looking over my shoulder to make sure Daddy is getting a picture of this moment.

Remlinger Farms

Our last summer activity was a trip to Remlinger Farms with the Saunders and Grandma Helm.

I can't believe Lisa and I have 8 kids all together. Here's 6 of them.Jacob could barely reach
Katie is such a goofball
Jason was sticking his neck out all funny, this picture he's actually "behaving"
Are we having fun yet?
My little pony
I think he secretly enjoyed this ride
Jacob's horse was named Plum

Luke, Ellie, Ian and Katie on the train
Jason held Kami the whole time on the train ride
Jacob savoring the moment
Notice how close together Katie and Jacob are sitting
Notice how close together these two are sitting.
Hey, Ian, does Jason have cooties or is he just hogging the canoe?
The barrel ride. By the end of the ride Jacob was in my lap, he got a little scared.
Ian, Katie and Jason's heads. They kept spinning their barrell after the ride stopped. The attendant had to tell them to stop.
What a cute couple!
No one else was on this ride. They took this car around the track about 10 times.
When it was time to go I had a flat tire. Brett was the only guy around and had to change the tire. (Justin had to work and didn't come with us).
